It's always fun to feature a talented neighbor. This month we would love to introduce you to this local talent, Lauren Wassler, owner of Queen City revolt. Lauren creates and designs her own Cincinnati inspired Apparel, Accessories, and Home Decor that are a bit more unique and exclusive than typical merchandise found in larger stores.
Learn more about Lauren below in her interview with the WestSide and come check her out at the market September 1st.
Business: Queen City Revolt
Owner: Lauren Wassler
Tell us about your business, how did you get started?
I started QCR as a side project. For a few years it was just a side hustle until I was able to quit my regular design job and make QCR my full time gig!
How long have you been in business?
Started in 2011, full time in 2015.
What is your favorite part of running your own business?
I like the flexibility that allows me to do what I love AND be at home with my babies.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Our beautiful city and the hardworking people that live here!
What are some of your favorite local businesses?
Lucky Kat, The Gray Oak, Metallic Giraffe, Celebrate Local, Circle Circle, and of course, Wassler Meats (that's my husband's family business!)
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I hope that in 5 years, I am still working from home (hopefully with a few people to help!) and in a position to give more back to the city (QCR already donates to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and the Cincinnati Zoo)
