Business: boutique bellini
Owner: Aleasha Smith
Product: Women’s Accessories & Clothing
Tell us about your business, how did you get started?
Hey everyone. I’m Aleasha Smith and I am the owner of boutique bellini. I sell women’s accessories and clothing in sizes xs-xl as well as x-3x. I sell kids clothing as well. I have been in fashion for many years. I have experience in management, styling, merchandising, and customer service. I absolutely adore fashion and after working in various boutiques, I eventually found myself wanting to start my own business so that I could be home more with my family. This gives me the opportunity to live my passion and to spend more time with my husband and 5 year old son. It’s been really nice to be able to do both. I feel that fashion can heal. It can make an impact on the person trying on clothes as well as the person styling them. There is nothing better to me then to see a person feel amazing and confident in who they are.
What makes your product/business unique?
What makes my company unique is that I deliver in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Think concierge service. I carry brands that are premium. Another unique thing about my company is that recently I started to carry extended sizes. It took a while for me to find a brand that worked for my company. I’m extremely meticulous when it comes to the quality and texture of fabric. It’s very important to me. Once I found one that worked I was beyond ecstatic! I want everyone to be able to shop at my boutique.
What would you tell someone that wants to open their own business?
I would tell someone who wanted to start their own business to do it now. What do you have to lose? You live only once and tomorrow is not promised. Choose happiness and do not settle for what does not create joy and certainty in your life!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from traveling to various places in the U.S.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In 5 years, I am certain that I will still own boutique bellini. I will be mobile. With 2 fashion trucks. I don’t plan on having a brick and mortar shop. I like the idea of being mobile and doing events such as sip and shop parties, bachelorette parties, holiday parties, etc. I want to be able to go out of state to do events. There are so many endless possibilities with being on the road.
